Team Creekmore

January Coach Update

February 9, 2018  |  0 comments

Team Creekmore is doing an awesome job working to meet their Savings Race goals. Another credit card has been paid in full! This is helping the Creekmores’ debt snowball gain even more momentum.

They are tracking all spending now and doing a great job keeping up to date with their budget. They continue to resist impulse buying, such as snacks and drinks from service stations on their way to and from work.

Carol and Jamie are also teaching their two boys financial responsibility. Daniel continues to save money and now has three accounts, a savings account, checking account and a separate savings account set up for future college expenses. Daniel has been finding ways to save money while attending college. He is eating out less and shopping at stores with groceries that cost less. They have taught their youngest son the difference between a debit card and a credit card. Both sons’ tithe to their church from earnings and save whenever possible.

Jamie and Carol Creekmore are taking on extra jobs at school to earn money for debt pay down. Carol is giving the ACT test in February, sponsoring the Battle of the Books and sponsoring the JV Scholars’ Bowl team—all for extra money to help with their goals. Jamie will be earning extra income from coaching softball at school this spring.

We are excited to see Team Creekmore progress as eCO Savings Race finalists and can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the second half of the Race!
